The album is mostly composed of covers from artists like \u003cstrong\u003eCat Stevens\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eGene Clark\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/turntablelab.mom\/search?q=The+Kinks\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Kinks\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, and \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/turntablelab.mom\/search?q=Daniel+Johnston\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDaniel Johnston\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, amongst others. This is the Yo La Tengo record for anyone who may not think they're into the band. It might be a little disingenuous to say so, as they haven't made one like it since. However, the music is far too good to pass up. \u003ci\u003eFakebook\u003c\/i\u003e is filled with warm and low key moments that only get better with every listen. There are moments of melancholy coupled with unadulterated joy. It's Yo La Tengo exploring their numerous influences, the music they love, and doing so exquisitely.
