Like previous efforts \u003cem\u003eThe Fool\u003c\/em\u003e and the eponymous \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=warpaint\" title=\"warpaint\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eWarpaint\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, the ladies aren't afraid to go outside the realms of conventional indie rock and incorporate elements of other music styles - most notably hip-hop, dance and electronic. For \u003cem\u003eHeads Up, \u003c\/em\u003ebassist \u003cstrong\u003eTheresa Wayman\u003c\/strong\u003e is quoted as as taking cues from \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=kendrick+lamar\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eKendrick Lamar\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, while drummer \u003cstrong\u003eStella Mozgawa\u003c\/strong\u003e has drawn inspiration from the late great \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=dilla\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJ. Dilla\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e. You might not expect that, but it's actually easy to hear on tracks like the moody and brooding \"Dre,\" \"By Your Side,\" or \"Don't Wanna.\" The band doesn't just stick to one thing however, they're able to change focus and make it work just as well. Indie dance? Check \"New Song\" or \"The Stall.\" Post-punk vibes? \"So Good.\" Upbeat rock \u0026amp; roll? \"Heads Up.\"  Breakout potential? Most definitely.
