While\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=twista\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTwista\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e’s previous efforts (as \u003cstrong\u003eTung Twista\u003c\/strong\u003e) sound sorta like \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Eazy-E\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEazy-E\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e high on speed \u0026amp; locked in the booth with a \u003cstrong\u003eDJ Premier\u003c\/strong\u003e beat tape, \u003cem\u003eAdrenaline Rush\u003c\/em\u003e introduced a new sound that was tailor-made for\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=twista\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTwista\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e; a regional take on west-coast G-funk that slowed down the tempo to accommodate even more of his rapid-fire bars. \u003cstrong\u003eTraxster\u003c\/strong\u003e’s portamento sine lead-laced beats soundtracked thousands of hotboxed Mitsubishi Eclipses in the suburbs of Chicago, St. Louis and Ohio in the late 90s. The title track is still perhaps\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=twista\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTwista\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e’s best-known song, a meanmuggers’ anthem featuring fellow Chicagoan \u003cstrong\u003eYung Buk\u003c\/strong\u003e aka \u003cstrong\u003ePsychodrama\u003c\/strong\u003e that is a guaranteed fight in the club every time (amazingly, \u003cstrong\u003eTraxster\u003c\/strong\u003e made this beat in 20 minutes). “Overdose,” “Unsolved Mysteries” and “Death Before Dishonor” are on the same tip, but \u003cem\u003eAdrenaline Rush\u003c\/em\u003e isn’t all weed-infused paranoid rage; check \u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=twista\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTwista\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e in late night creep mode on “Get It Wet,” “Emotions” and the excellent “It Feels So Good”; or the hilarious “Get Her In The Mood” skit for an example of some of\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=twista\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTwista\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e’s other…. um… skills. 13 uncensored tracks on double vinyl in original sleeve with printed insert; this 20th anniversary repress comes right on time as original copies are currently changing hands for three figures.
