Two things about \u003ci\u003eNux Vomica\u003c\/i\u003e: the first lineup of \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=the%20veils\u0026amp;filter=Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22The%20Veils%22\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"The Veils Music on Vinyl LP\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003ethe Veils\u003c\/a\u003e had split soon after the release of \u003ci\u003eThe Runaway Found\u003c\/i\u003e (Andrews linked with old friends to record this), and the LP is characterized by a darker, heavier sound, which is in contrast to the dreamier sound that decorates the first full-length. \u003ci\u003eNux Vomica\u003c\/i\u003e also features a heavy dose of string arrangements, courtesy of Jane Scarpantoni (of The Lounge Lizards, worked with Lou Reed for a long time).
