Right off the top, the clapping hooves of Epona and the gentle piano tickling of \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Koji+Kondo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eKoji Kondo\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e that opens the intro track will be familiar to anyone else who spent 1999 smoking weed and playing \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Ocarina+Of+Time\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eOcarina Of Time\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, but there’s plenty more where that came from, as that’s not even the only \u003cem\u003eOcarina\u003c\/em\u003e sample in the first track (let alone the first minute!). Some of it sounds exactly like what you’d expect \u003cstrong\u003eWavves\u003c\/strong\u003e making trap beats to sound like, but some of it is super fucking legit, and you can just imagine someone like, - oh I don’t know, \u003cstrong\u003eMax B\u003c\/strong\u003e? - spitting on joints like the 8-bit rocksteady swang of “Spirit Temple,” the dragonslayer trap of “The Great Bay Shrines” (more \u003cem\u003eZelda\u003c\/em\u003e samples) and the sleepy boom-bap of “Bros Beyond” (still more).
