Although the sound is unmistakably Stephen Malkmus And The Jicks, the energy is very new \u0026amp; enthusiastic, and there are some unexpected \"flourishes\" throughout the album: auto-tune, a fiddle, vocal feature from from Kim Gordon, to name a few.
