They substituted the meditative drone of sitars with the sustained chords of their bass and guitars, with the occasional plucked string just to let you know they weren't dead where they stood.  The performance was so rudimentary that Carruthers later had this to say about it: “A monkey could have done what I had just done. A non-existent monkey could have done it.” This live recording serves as the original 44 minute \u003cem\u003eDreamweapon\u003c\/em\u003e, and now covers the first two sides of this newly expanded reissue on \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Superior+Viaduct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003eSuperior Viaduct\u003c\/a\u003e. Sides C and D include studio scraps leftover from the recording of 1988’s \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=Playing%20With%20Fire\u0026amp;filter=Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22Spacemen%203%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cem\u003ePlaying With Fire\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e album: “Ecstacy Live Intro Theme,” “Ecstacy In Slow Motion” and the rustic, meditative “Spacemen Jam.” \u003cem\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eWhile \u003cem\u003eDreamweapon\u003c\/em\u003e makes sense in hindsight with the context of their full catalog, it's still an outlier... more indicative of where Kember was headed than Pierce and Carruthers’ subsequent work as part of \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=Spiritualized\u0026amp;filter=Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22Spiritualized%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSpiritualized\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e; mirroring aspects of the droney soundscapes Kember would conjure in his solo projects \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=Spectrum\u0026amp;filter=Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22Spectrum%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSpectrum\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e and \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Sonic+Boom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSonic Boom\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e and also in his work on \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Panda+Bear+Meets+The+Grim+Reaper\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cem\u003ePanda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e with \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Noah+Lennox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNoah Lennox\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e.
