Haynes’ drumming is intricately textured and on point throughout, but honestly, this is \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Roland+Kirk\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRoland Kirk\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e’s album as much as anyone else’s. Apart from his virtuosic lines on the tenor sax as well as his bizarre 1920s \u003cem\u003eBuescher\u003c\/em\u003e alto and \u003cem\u003eSaxello\u003c\/em\u003e soprano models, C flute and \u003cem\u003enose flute\u003c\/em\u003e (your guess is as good as mine) the homie does it \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/k6HW1y7.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"\u003elike this\u003c\/a\u003e without ever devolving into atonal skronking or \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Ornette+Coleman\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOrnette Coleman\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e-esque next shit (here's a real WTF factoid for you - a certain late night host once toured with Kirk as his supporting act and was frequently introduced by Kirk as \"a young brother who knows the black experience and knows all about the white devils... please welcome Jay Leno!\"). \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Tommy+Flanagan\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTommy Flanagan\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e and \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Henry+Grimes\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHenry Grimes\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e shine on piano and bass, respectively.
