One tends to think of post rock as a soundtrack to the future, but the 20th century is filled with plenty of events that fit the drama of the music. This is not the first soundtrack the band have handled, but it might be the most expertly executed. Although they never quite put down their guitars, synthesizers are used much more than on any previous release. Those keyboards provide plenty of tension and allow Mogwai to expand their sound, as well. \"SCRAM\" is filled with foreboding sirens, while both \"Ether\" and \"Are You A Dancer?\" provide some light amongst the darker moments. Ten tracks in all.
