A lack of proper venues and infrastructure has pushed DIY punk and underground electronic music closer together, which has caused an apparent \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eaesthetic shift from studious IDM-inspired minimal techno to rugged, punk-indebted EBM. The tracks on \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eIndreams\u003c\/em\u003e were originally written as live hardware sets, worked out in front of a live audience before being given some studio spit and polish. The record is inspired by early Industrial music and Cyberpunk literature, but avoids boilerplate references and cliche aesthetics. The music is immediate and visceral, a solid entry in the lineage that includes fellow Canadians \u003cstrong\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Skinny+Puppy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003eSkinny Puppy\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=front+line+assembly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003eFront Line Assembly\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e. “June Anthem” is camera flash snares and punching bag toms over a digital hardcore bassline, “New Hard Catch” is fierce, backspun breaks at a heart-racing BPM.
