Impressed with the result (“Radiation Ruling The Nation”), the band had a vision for a full-length remix album with Fraser at the controls and the result is perhaps the most singularly unique project in either artist’s high pedigree catalogs. The otherwise deeply soulful and jazz-inflected versions found on \u003cem\u003eProtection\u003c\/em\u003e are chewed up and spit out of Mad Professor’s mixing board, where jazzy bass licks become pressurized sub bass and the voices of \u003ca rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=tracey%20thorn\u0026amp;filter=Category_fq:%22Vinyl%20Records%20%2F%20Music%22\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTracey Thorn\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003ca rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=horace%20andy\u0026amp;filter=Category_fq:%22Vinyl%20Records%20%2F%20Music%22\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHorace Andy\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eTricky\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eNicolette\u003c\/strong\u003e are distant, echoing ghosts that rarely come up for air and vanish just as quick as they came.
