Founding member \u003cstrong\u003eAndrew Vowles\u003c\/strong\u003e left the group after the recording of \u003cem\u003eMezzanine\u003c\/em\u003e, displeased with the turn the band had taken, but the album would prove to be the band’s most successful nonetheless, entering the UK album chart at number one.
