This is precisely what house music should sound like in 2018: hi-tech but still sensual... no retro-fetishist analog bullshit… forward thinking and imaginative without sounding “futuristic” or losing its grip on the dancefloor. I shudder to think that I might not have ever heard this record if not for that chance encounter. I had seen it around, but was put off by the amateurish color gradient pharaoh on the cover and the layout\/typeface pulled straight out of Mac OS 8. But after hearing and falling in love with the record, it all sorta makes sense.
