This time the music comes from a collaboration between \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/turntablelab.mom\/search?q=gigi+Masin\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMasin\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eLand Of Light's Jonny Nash\u003c\/strong\u003e, and Marco Sterk (bka \u003cstrong\u003eYoung Marco\u003c\/strong\u003e). The trio met in 2013 and recorded the music on \u003ci\u003eClouds\u003c\/i\u003e over the course of a weekend spent at Sterk's studio in Amsterdam's derelict downtown. Gigi takes on Rhodes and piano, while Nash handles guitar, melodica, synths and trumpet, and Sterk supplies more syth work and general rhythmic backing. The music is all improvised, with the songs amazingly being captured in single takes. This is mellow music, for sure, and plenty enjoyable. You could call it mood music, but it's more atmospheric than that. To put \u003ci\u003eClouds\u003c\/i\u003e on is to be enveloped by one. You'll be taken from the seaside up into the night sky while feeling weightless and careless.
