The title track, \u003cem\u003eMaggot Brain,\u003c\/em\u003e is arguably the best guitar solo in any rock song. Supposedly George told guitarist,\u003ca href=\"http:\/\/turntablelab.mom\/search?q=eddie+hazel\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEddie Hazel\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, while trippin balls off \"Yellow Sunshine\", to play the first half as if he heard that his mom just died, and in one take, the 10 minute psychedelic \"Maggot Brain,\" was born. The rest of this album bangs from slumping funk and rock to gospel, and blues, all with that spontaneous feel that has influenced dance, hip hop, and pop producers for years. Check the beat on \"You and Your Folks,\" the track \"Super Stupid\" which rocks on some ill \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/turntablelab.mom\/search?q=jimi+hendrix\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJimi Hendrix\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e \"Band of Gypsy's\" tip, and the gospel bump of, \"Hit It and Quit It.\" I could go on, but you already know this is a classic.
