Yeah, Drake's huge, but I sorta feel like he’s in the spot that \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Kanye+West\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eKanye\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e occupied back around 2007 - remember \u003cem\u003eGraduation\u003c\/em\u003e vs. Curtis? - and Kanye is now in \u003cstrong\u003e50 Cent\u003c\/strong\u003e’s spot: still at the top, but losing his grasp on the people fast. And like \u003cem\u003eGraduation\u003c\/em\u003e, when \u003cem\u003eScorpion\u003c\/em\u003e dropped over the summer, the question lighting up group chats wasn’t “do you like it,” it was: “which songs are your favorites.” So here’s mine: “Nonstop,” “I’m Upset,” “Elevate,” “Peak,” “Jaded,” “Finesse,” “That’s How You Feel,” “In My Feelings” (don’t lie - those few days before it got played out were sick), “Don’t Matter To Me” (\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Michael+Jackson\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMichael\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e!), “After Dark” (\u003cstrong\u003eStatic\u003c\/strong\u003e!), “March 14th”… what can I say, I’m just a *disc 2* type of dude (read: sad). Overall, not as good as \u003cem\u003eNWTS \u003c\/em\u003eor \u003cem\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=drake%20Take%20Care\u0026amp;filter=Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22Drake%22\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eTake Care\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, but light years better than \u003cem\u003eViews \u003c\/em\u003e(or any of Kanye’s latest \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=Kanye%20West%202018\u0026amp;filter=Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22Kanye%20West%22%20OR%20Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22Kids%20See%20Ghosts%22%20OR%20Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22Nas%22\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e20 minute albums\u003c\/a\u003e). And while these 25 tracks squeezed onto four sides of wax could have easily been a triple LP, this official 2LP sounds surprisingly great... Honestly I’m shocked they got this to market before zee Germanz and their lightning-fast bootlegs.
