The videos accompanying the album are even weirder... but none of this high art schlock means anything if the tracks don’t bang, and do they! Seeing “Da Funk” and “Around The World” on late night MTV2 lured me in, when I was too young and too green to recognize any of the names shouted out on “Teachers” apart from maybe \u003cstrong\u003eDr. Dre\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eGeorge Clinton\u003c\/strong\u003e. But I stuck around for “Fresh,” “Oh Yeah,” “Alive,” and perhaps most importantly, “Revolution 909.” \u003cem\u003eHomework\u003c\/em\u003e is the gateway drug that sent an entire generation of naïve suburban tweens on a quest to find out what records by \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Todd+Edwards\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTodd Edwards\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Romanthony\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRomanthony\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Kenny+Dope\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eKenny Dope\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e and \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Jeff+Mills\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJeff Mills\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e sounded like. The first truly great house *album*, and probably still the best.
