Something akin to \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Boards+Of+Canada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBoards Of Canada\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e if they had the balls to sing through a vocoder and weren’t too posh to sleep on floors and play scuzzy house shows, but slightly more focused and less haphazard than the \u003cstrong\u003eTobacco\u003c\/strong\u003e solo stuff. \u003cem\u003ePanic Blooms\u003c\/em\u003e is just as fun as any other \u003cstrong\u003eBlack Moth Super Rainbow\u003c\/strong\u003e record, but there’s something more creepy than usual coursing through the veins of these tracks… as if the collaged face on the album cover is smiling because he’s keeping a sinister secret none of us are really prepared to hear. There typically aren’t any overtly human sounds found on \u003cstrong\u003eBMSR\u003c\/strong\u003e records (although there’s a nice little bit of acoustic guitar tucked away on “To The Beat Of A Creeper”), and sometimes it’s easy to forget there's a group of living, breathing human beings hiding behind the heap of synth cables, drum machine circuitry and vocoder hose. Still, there’s a tremendous amount of humanity in some of these songs… like the wobbly R\u0026amp;B vocal melody on “Permanent Hole,” or the heartbroken despair shining through the cracks of album closer “Mr. No One” (previously issued on \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?\u0026amp;q=Ariel%20Pink%20black%20moth%20super%20rainbow\u0026amp;filter=Brand\/Manufacturer\/Artist_fq:%22Black%20Moth%20Super%20Rainbow%20%2F%20Ariel%20Pink%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003ea blink-and-you’ll-miss-it 7-inch\u003c\/a\u003e a few months ago backed with an exceptional \u003cstrong\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=Ariel+Pink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003eAriel Pink\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e + \u003cstrong\u003eTobacco\u003c\/strong\u003e collab).
