This is Beck at his most lo-fi and DIY. Less eclectic than \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=%22Mellow+Gold%22\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"mellow gold\"\u003e\u003ci\u003eMellow Gold\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e and \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=Odelay\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Odelay\"\u003e\u003ci\u003eOdelay\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, the album features a heavy folk influence. There are strains of blues, including a cover of \u003ca href=\"http:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?q=%22Skip+James%22\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"skip james delta blues\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSkip James'\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e Delta Blues classic \"He's a Mighty Good Leader.\" Released the same year as \u003ci\u003eOdelay\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eOne Foot In The Grave\u003c\/i\u003e was sadly eclipsed by it. The album is a standout effort in its own right and this expanded reissue will help shine some much needed light on it. Thirty-two tracks in all.
