The album was recorded at Electrical Audio studio in Chicago over a period of 9 months, and features production by \u003cstrong\u003eJoe Reinhart\u003c\/strong\u003e (\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.turntablelab.mom\/search?type=product\u0026amp;q=hop+along\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHop Along\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eAlgernon Cadwallader\u003c\/strong\u003e), but studio fussiness is set aside for the goal of capturing the energy of their vital, life-affirming live shows. The disc starts with the driving chords of “Promises” leading to the crashing cymbals and neat solos of “Cuffing Season”. “Ms. Califonia” is a catchy, anthemic single, “Dream Boy” begins with soft acoustic strums, a solid showcase of Trifilio’s optimistic and clever lyricism. This album includes a large, fold out poster that looks like it would make for a super fun coloring project.
