But their biggest influence is \u003cstrong\u003eNeşet Ertaş\u003c\/strong\u003e, A Turkish folk musician of equivalent stature to \u003cstrong\u003eDylan\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eJacques Brel\u003c\/strong\u003e, or \u003cstrong\u003eGeorge Gerschwin\u003c\/strong\u003e in his home country. His composition have effectively become standards in Turkey, reintroduced to endless generations over time.  Altin Gün retain the themes and lyrics but reinterpret the compositions to a freakier, fuzzier place - shuffling time signatures and adding instrumentation while maintaining what made the songs beloved to begin with. The music is universal and effecting, even if you don’t speak a word of Turkish. “Kirsehirin Gulleri” is raw Saz (a 3-string lute) riffs and reverberating vocals over throbbing bass, “Kirsehrin Gulleri” is low-slung bass, chipper percussion and jangly riffs.
