The inclusion of lyrics (CD version only) is a welcome insight into the world of \u003cstrong\u003eDOOM\u003c\/strong\u003e (no more rewinding!); and \u003cstrong\u003eMadlib\u003c\/strong\u003e, who sometimes is stretched too thin, steps up to this endeavor with some of his most textural work to date. The Beasties live the American dream here, picking up instruments and playing skater thrash band, badass black funk-rock band, and crafty city rappers, all at the same time. I'm not quite sure there's anything else quite like it. Even though I've gotten tired of the aging cult of Beastie, I still put this on when I want to get hyped up for heated recreational sports sessions (that's right chall!). Every track is standout, but if I have to assign those pesky blue numbers, it would go something like this:  \"Jimmy James,\" \"Gratitude,\" \"Something's Got To Give,\" \"Stand Together,\" and \"Groove Holmes.\" Double vinyl. As you might have read elsewhere,  \u003cem\u003eMy Beautiful...\u003c\/em\u003e is one of 2010's strongest, something that you'll find yourself going back to year after year.  This is the limited-edition, 3-record version featuring 180g pressing, frame-able artwork, and a poster, with fancy tri-fold, red x gold packaging (art direction by Kanye himself). Nostalgic as the sound of their compositions was, their once innocent sounding warbling synths were now imbued with a mischievous spirit. Further more they filled in the silent spaces with more ominous drone. This all tended to create a slightly more malicious atmosphere. Overall \u003ci\u003eGeogaddi\u003c\/i\u003e was a satisfying release, especially for how hotly anticipated it was. Warp has done a great service to all those BOC fans that missed out on the vinyl when it initially came out in offering this reissue. In retrospect, this album was much more realized than its downtempo counterparts, dude was already way more advanced than the cut and paste of the day. A downtempo classic indeed.
